The plenary session of the Balearic Parliament next Tuesday is scheduled to ratify the decree of measures designed to cushion the economic impact derived from the war in Iran.
Barring a last-minute surprise, the initiative will have the support of the PP, in addition to the PSIB and Unidas Podemos, which would guarantee its parliamentary validation.
The text seeks to respond to the effects of the international crisis on prices, supply, and economic activity, in a context marked by energy tension and instability in the Middle East.
MÉS will abstain and Vox does not clarify its vote
MÉS per Mallorca has announced that it will opt for abstention, considering that the decree contains shortcomings, although without rejecting its approval.
For its part, Més per Menorca has already indicated that "it will not vote against it", understanding that it is a necessary norm in the current economic scenario.
The unknown factor remains Vox, which has not yet revealed the sense of its vote, considering that its proposals have not been incorporated into the final text.
Session with housing, health and immigration
The parliamentary session will begin at 09:00 hours with the control session of the Government.
Among the planned matters are questions to the regional president about the regularization of migrants, amendments to the law on strategic projects, and various issues related to health, housing, transport, and irregular immigration.
Furthermore, Unidas Podemos will defend a motion on democratic memory, while the PSIB will question the Minister of Education and Universities, Antoni Vera.
PAC and Son Bou on the agenda
The plenary session will also host the appearance of the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Natural Environment, Joan Simonet, who will report on the fulfillment of an initiative related to the declaration of Prat de Son Bou as a natural park.
The session will conclude with the debate of two non-binding proposals: one from the PSIB in support of the extraordinary regularization of migrants and another from the PP focused on the management of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).
