A man of about 38 years old, originally from California, was arrested this Sunday at the golf club of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, located in Rancho Palos Verdes, in Los Angeles County. The police intervention took place just two days before the planned visit of the president to the same complex to attend a fundraising event scheduled for this Tuesday.

The arrested individual, identified as Jeanine John Taele and a resident of Downey, according to the Fox network, was arrested after several federal agents in plain clothes observed him wandering around the golf course facilities while taking photographs and recording videos, while, according to the agents, he seemed to be closely monitoring the security preparations.

In the search conducted on Taele, the agents found 16 cartridges loaded with hollow point ammunition. In addition, authorities have indicated that an illegally modified AR platform rifle, a .45 caliber 1911 pistol, an AR platform upper receiver, bulletproof vests, abundant ammunition for short and long weapons, two radio communication devices, and several notebooks containing ideas described by local authorities as "concerning statements" were seized.

Security forces have also specified that the suspect was already being investigated for an alleged theft by the El Segundo Police Department. However, while investigations led by the Secret Service, the Sheriff's Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) continue, it is not ruled out that additional charges may be brought against the arrested individual.
