The French authorities confirmed this Wednesday the opening of investigations regarding the death of Daniel Siad, found dead on Monday in his home. He is a person linked to the American sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, for whom he allegedly recruited women.
The Nanterre prosecutor's office has indicated to Europa Press that an investigation has been initiated to clarify the circumstances of Siad's death, after his body was located in a house situated in Colombes.
In this context, the security forces of Hauts de Seine have taken over the proceedings and an autopsy is expected to be performed in order to determine the cause of death.
The Nanterre court, specialized in crimes related to human trafficking, had an ongoing case against the 69-year-old French businessman for his alleged involvement in Epstein's network in Europe, where he would have recruited women.
Said appears in more than a thousand documents in the so-called "Epstein emails," declassified earlier this year by the U.S. Department of Justice, in which he compared his work to fishing.
