Lebanese authorities announced this Friday that the attacks launched by Israel since March 2 have already caused the death of more than 4,320 people and left more than 12,200 injured, in the context of the fighting between Israeli forces and the Shiite militia Hezbollah, which began three days after the outbreak of the war with Iran.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health has updated the official toll to 4,321 deaths and 12,207 injured throughout the national territory, with a special concentration of victims in the south of the country, an area where Israel maintains a campaign of constant bombings and partial invasion operations, under the pretext of creating a "security zone" to protect the populations of northern Israel.
However, the Lebanese government maintains that a significant portion of these attacks are carried out indiscriminately and even with a deliberate objective against civilians and military personnel. According to their data, women represent 14% of the registered fatalities in these bombings, while men account for 86%.
Israel's decision to continue its military offensive in southern Lebanon has generated tensions in recent contacts between Washington and Tehran, which accuses Israel of violating the understanding agreement reached to end the war.
This scenario has even led to the discontent of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, with the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, whom he has reproached, true to his direct style, for continuing with his own campaign to consolidate control over these territories in southern Lebanon.
