The Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) has awarded former Prime Minister Felipe González the 'Ana Frank' prize this Friday, which recognizes his "contribution to international peace processes, democratic consolidation, and European integration".
As the OEI pointed out in the information published on its website, the award ceremony was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI), located in Madrid.
González, who has thanked the recognition "from the heart", has underlined the need to "seek centrality, which is nothing more than the space where disagreement can coexist through dialogue, something we can achieve from the extraordinary philosophy of Ana Frank, so extraordinary that it survives the passage of time".
