The presiding judge of seat number 3 of the Section on Violence against Women of the Alicante Court of Instance, on duty, has ordered this Monday afternoon the provisional, communicated, and no-bail imprisonment of the man accused of murdering his partner, Lourdes, and one of his daughters, Lucía, in addition to wounding another of his daughters in the Alicante district of La Cañada del Fenollar on Thursday afternoon-evening.
According to the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV), the magistrate traveled with the judicial commission to the hospital center where the suspect remains admitted to be able to take his statement.
The detainee is being investigated, initially and without prejudice to a future legal classification, for two counts of consummated murder and a third count of attempted murder. Once he is discharged from the hospital, law enforcement will transfer him directly to a penitentiary center.
As an additional precautionary measure, the judge has imposed on him the prohibition of approaching within 500 meters of the daughter he allegedly wounded, as well as her home, workplace, educational center, or any other place she frequents, and has also banned any form of communication with her by any means.
The holder of seat 3 of the Section on Violence against Women of the Alicante Court of Instance has decided to relinquish the proceedings carried out this Monday in favor of her colleague from seat 2 of the same section, who had already initiated preliminary proceedings for these events and is the competent judge to continue with the instruction of the case.
