The singer, songwriter, visual artist, and writer from the United States, Patti Smith, has been awarded the Princess of Asturias Award for the Arts 2026. The jury read the verdict this Wednesday at 12:00 PM in the Covadonga Hall of the Eurostars Hotel de La Reconquista in Oviedo.
The Arts Award is the first of the eight international awards convened annually by the Princess of Asturias Foundation. T
This award, which this year reaches its XLVI edition, is granted for "creation and improvement" work in disciplines such as architecture, cinematography, dance, sculpture, photography, music, painting, theater, and other artistic manifestations.
