Business owners, self-employed individuals, and entrepreneurs affected will be able to access psychological support via chat through an app, free of charge, without limits, and confidentially, using the access code 'mentorDay'

mentorDay and Affor Health have joined forces to offer immediate psychological support to business owners, self-employed individuals, merchants, SMEs, and entrepreneurs affected by the earthquake in Venezuela, within the Venezuela Business Reactivation Program. From now on, affected individuals will be able to access a 24/7 Psychology HUB, available in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, to receive synchronous, immediate, unlimited, and confidential psychological support through a chat app, using the access code 'mentorDay'.

The message for the affected business owners is clear: they are not alone and can contact a psychologist whenever they need to.

The earthquake has left many business owners in a situation of enormous personal and professional pressure. Some have lost premises, inventory, tools, documentation, clients, suppliers, income, or the ability to operate. Others are emotionally blocked, experiencing fear, anxiety, insomnia, guilt, exhaustion, or difficulty making decisions. Therefore, mentorDay has reinforced the first phase of the program with the professional support of Affor Health, so that affected individuals can access immediate psychological help, without waiting for the next group session. The aim is to offer initial emotional support to business owners and entrepreneurs who need to regain calm, clarity, and strength before they can begin rebuilding their businesses.

To access the service, affected business owners, self-employed individuals, merchants, and entrepreneurs in Venezuela must download the app indicated by Affor Health, enter the psychological support chat, use the access code 'mentorDay', and contact a psychologist whenever they need to. Access is made from Venezuela through the chat app and via a digital phone associated with the program.

The alliance with Affor Health joins the daily programming that mentorDay has already launched within the Venezuela Business Reactivation Program, which includes a daily group session with volunteer psychologists, individual sessions after each group session, immediate 24/7 psychological support through Affor Health, subsequent accompaniment with crisis mentors, preparation of the impact file, identification of aid, PERKS and resources, and the design of a business roadmap for 30, 60 and 90 days.

The first phase of the program responds to an urgent need: many entrepreneurs cannot yet think about sales, aid, financing or a business plan because they first need to get out of emotional blockage. "An entrepreneur in shock cannot make good decisions. First, we must help them regain calm. Then we can accompany them to document damages, ask for help, reorganize their company and generate income again," they point out from mentorDay.

Different local entities and entrepreneurship networks are helping this resource reach affected entrepreneurs. Among them, Impact Hub Caracas is notifying entrepreneurs, business owners and allies so they can connect with the program and take advantage of these free resources. mentorDay is also requesting the collaboration of business chambers, professional associations, universities, merchant associations, media, sectoral guilds, diaspora organizations and local entities to disseminate access among those who need it most, with the aim that no affected entrepreneur is left alone due to lack of information.

The Venezuela Business Reactivation Program starts from a simple idea: first stabilize the person, then accompany the entrepreneur and, finally, reactivate the company. Psychological help is not a secondary element, but the first step for the entrepreneur to be able to make decisions again, talk to their family, support their team, assess damages, prepare documents, ask for help and rebuild their activity.

Entrepreneurs who, after receiving psychological support, are in a position to move forward will proceed to a later stage of business reactivation, in which crisis mentors from mentorDay will help them prepare their aid dossier, organize evidence of damages, redo their business plan, and create an executable roadmap. They may be accompanied by the international network of more than 1,000 volunteer mentors from mentorDay, within the 'Mentors without Borders' initiative.

mentorDay reminds that the program does not promise direct financial aid or guaranteed funding. Its objective is to help each affected entrepreneur regain emotional stability, organize their situation, prepare their file, identify available resources, connect with mentors and experts, access psychological support, and define a realistic roadmap to resume operations. Humanitarian aid saves lives; business reactivation helps recover income, jobs, and livelihoods.

Affected entrepreneurs, self-employed individuals, merchants, SMEs, and entrepreneurs can register for free in the Venezuela Business Reactivation Program at https://mentorday.es/programas/programa-de-reactivacion-empresarial/, where they will find program information, webinars, available resources, and the next steps.

mentorDay and Affor Health call on business chambers, merchant associations, professional guilds, colleges of accountants, lawyers, and administrators, universities, media outlets, diaspora associations, NGOs, local entities, entrepreneurship networks, and Venezuelan influencers and communicators, to help disseminate this free resource so that it reaches those who need immediate emotional support and accompaniment to reactivate their economic activity as soon as possible.
