The Insolvency Administration has communicated to the works council of the Tubos Reunidos plant in Trapagaran that around ten potential interested parties have registered to submit an offer for the company, without clarifying whether they would focus on part of the activity or the entirety of the productive unit.
According to union sources present at the first of the three meetings organized by the Insolvency Administration, these meetings are part of the creditors' insolvency process committee and aim to detail the profile of potential bidders. Europa Press has been informed of this.
The initial meeting was held at 10:00 AM, with the participation of the company's representation, and lasted about an hour. Following this meeting at the Biscayan plant, a second meeting was called at 12:00 PM in Amurrio and a third at 4:00 PM in Iruña de Oca.
According to the union sources consulted, the insolvency administrator stated that the Trapagaran plant has "production relatively secured until November."
Regarding the approximately ten potential bidders, the sources explained that, due to the confidentiality requirements of the procedure, no specific data about their identity has been provided and that they "fear" that the names will not be known until September.
In any case, they pointed out that the existence of these interested parties has not caught them off guard, as they "were aware" of the "noise generated," although they warned that, until the offers are finalized and it is known if they are firm, "the workforces will continue to be on tenterhooks."
