Acciona Energía registered this Friday a strong rebound on the Stock Market, above 9%, after it became known that the funds KKR and Brookfield would be studying presenting offers to take control of Acciona's renewable energy subsidiary.
Around 11:13 AM, Acciona Energía's shares were advancing 9.71%, reaching 23.50 euros, while Acciona's shares gained 7.65%, reaching 253.2 euros, leading the Ibex's revaluations on a day in which the Madrid selective marked historical highs.
This eventual interest from KKR and Brookfield is part of the strategic review that the group is currently undertaking, as reported this Friday by the economic newspaper "Cinco Días".
Thus, KKR and Brookfield would be among the investors that the Entrecanales family, which controls Acciona, would have sounded out for a possible operation on Acciona Energía, either through the sale of the entire company or only a stake. In any case, the scenario that no transaction ultimately materializes remains on the table.
Acciona sources consulted by Europa Press have opted not to comment on this information.
