Revolut has announced the appointment of Kuba Fast as the new CEO of its Lithuanian entity, Revolut Bank UAB. The executive comes from JP Morgan Chase, where he held the position of CEO of the digital bank Chase UK and participated in the launch of its international consumer banking.
The change at the top has been validated by the European Central Bank (ECB) and the Bank of Lithuania. From now on, Fast will join the executive team that manages Revolut's banking activities in the European Economic Area (EEA).
Fast takes over from Joe Heneghan, who will assume the leadership of Revolut Holdings Europe UAB. From that position, he will be in charge of the holding company that groups Revolut's operations in the EEA, with the aim of ensuring homogeneous strategic and regulatory coordination in all European markets.
"We are delighted to welcome Kuba to Revolut at a key moment in our European expansion. His experience in scaling digital banks, combined with his deep regulatory knowledge, makes him an excellent addition to our management team. His arrival will allow us to accelerate our trajectory of success in Europe and consolidate our position as the continent's leading bank," said Revolut CEO and founder, Nik Storonsky.
"Revolut has radically changed what people expect from their financial institutions. I am excited to join the management team to accelerate our banking services across the EEA. By offering innovative and localized products, tailored to the daily needs of over 55 million European customers, we will continue to demonstrate that everyday finance can be simpler, more intuitive, and much more affordable," said the new CEO of Revolut Bank UAB, Kuba Fast.
