A new breakdown has forced the suspension of circulation on all Rodalies lines in Barcelona due to affected railway traffic regulation systems, as Adif has communicated via "X".
According to Adif, technical teams are working to resolve this incident, which was reported at 3:25 PM this Tuesday and represents the second interruption of the day.
The first incident had already stopped the passage of trains at 12:25 PM, and service was gradually being restored from 1:00 PM onwards.
This new breakdown, which has once again halted all Rodalies lines, coincides with the visit of Pope Leo XIV to Barcelona, further increasing mobility difficulties for citizens.

Legal actions against Siemens
The two breakdowns in Rodalies have led Adif to initiate legal actions against Siemens following consecutive failures in the Traffic Regulation Center at Sants station, which have significantly disrupted railway circulation.
The railway operator has emphasized that Siemens is the company responsible for the IT support that guarantees the operation of Adif's systems for managing train traffic "and, therefore, is responsible for a situation affecting thousands of Catalan users".
Adif has stated that "this is a situation that has occurred on other occasions and is therefore repeated. Adif considers this situation unjustified, inadmissible, unassumable, and absolutely intolerable."
The infrastructure administrator has stressed that both incidents "are Siemens' responsibility" and has detailed that the department managing the contract has opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances of what happened and to study the application, if applicable, of the penalties provided for against the company.
The first breakdown occurred at 12:25 PM and service was restored around 1:00 PM, while the second occurred at 3:00 PM and circulation was recovered around 3:30 PM.
