One more week, Juanma Moreno, president and candidate of the PP for the Junta de Andalucía, María Jesús Montero, regional leader of the socialists, and José Ignacio García Sánchez, candidate of Adelante Andalucía, are the Andalusian politicians with the greatest influence on networks a few weeks before the regional elections scheduled for May 17.

So reflects the ranking of Poder Digital, an application developed by Vinces, which collects and organizes public information about the digital activity of political representatives, presenting it in the form of transparent and impartial rankings.

The application, available for consultation on Demócrata, measures the true capacity —digital power— of a political actor to connect with voters and lead the public conversation on X, Instagram, and LinkedIn, using a scale of 0 to 100.

This index is calculated using the RIO formula (Regularity, Interactions, and Originality), which evaluates key aspects of digital presence, such as audience size and quality, message impact, and recent activity. To do this, up to 30 publications from the last 60 days are analyzed.

Top 10:

  1. Juanma Moreno Bonilla, president of the Regional Government of Andalusia (PP)
  2. María Jesús Montero Cuadrado, socialist candidate for the Regional Government (PSOE)
  3. José Ignacio García Sánchez, candidate for the Regional Government (Adelante Andalucía)
  4. Rocío De Meer Méndez, deputy in Congress (Vox)
  5. Juan Antonio Delgado Ramos, deputy in the Andalusian Parliament (Por Andalucía)
  6. Rafael Antonio Hernando Fraile, deputy in Congress (PP)
  7. Elías Bendodo Benasayag, deputy in Congress (PP)
  8. Juan Bravo Baena, deputy in Congress (PP)
  9. María Teresa Rodríguez, on her party's lists for Cádiz (Adelante Andalucía)
  10. María de los Ángeles Fériz Gómez, deputy in the regional Parliament (PSOE)

The party's strength

Aside from personalisms, by parties there is a slight change. The PP does not lead the ranking but rather the PSOE is the party with the most digital power. The populares occupy second place and Vox closes this podium.

On the other hand, this week, public conversation has been dominated by terms and hashtags very close to the PP: #MorenoBonilla, #JuanmaPresidente and #ConLaFuerzaDeAndalucía (official campaign slogan) have monopolized the networks.

It already smells like elections

Although there is less than a month left until the polls open, the calendar does not forgive and the Seville fair has once again marked the political and social agenda of all of Andalusia. While the privatization of healthcare or criticism of the government of Pedro Sánchez (and until recently María Jesús Montero), has been the subject of debate on social networks, El Real has dominated the conversation.

These days, most of the leaders have been seen around the booths. From President Moreno Bonilla, who attended accompanied by the Minister of Industry, Energy and Mines, Jorge Paradela, and the Minister of Culture and Sport, Patricia del Pozo, to Montero, who did so hand in hand with the deputy spokesperson for the Socialist Group in the Andalusian Parliament, Ángeles Férriz.

Going viral is the gerund

The virality of content is one of the indicators that Poder Digital takes into account. In this field, the undisputed winner is Vox. This week, three of the five tweets that have achieved the most reach are from the party that aspires to dispute the leadership of the right with Moreno Bonilla.

The Vox Andalucía account has achieved a great impact by sharing Santiago Abascal's criticisms of the regularization approved by the Government:

The incident at a rally in Granada, where a can of red paint was thrown at the Congress deputy and Deputy Secretary of Organization, María Ruiz Solás, has been the other big issue with which Vox has mobilized its bases.

On the other hand, Sánchez's tweet criticizing Moreno Bonilla's "quietly" privatization, which was shared by both the socialist candidate for the Junta and the PSOE of Andalusia account, achieved a very relevant impact.
