The director of the Moncloa's Office of Economic Affairs and G20, Manuel de la Rocha, and the president of the State Industrial Participations Company (SEPI), Belén Gualda, will appear next Tuesday in Parliament to explain the recent corporate movements at Indra and Escribano Mechanical and Engineering (EM&E).

These interventions occur after the resignation of the now former president of Indra, Ángel Escribano, who on April 1st submitted his resignation through a letter addressed to the board of directors, after the company headed by his brother, EM&E, backed down from the integration operation with Indra, alleging pressure from the Government and SEPI.

In this context, the PP registered the request for Manuel de la Rocha and Belén Gualda to appear before the Joint Committee on National Security, which brings together Congress and the Senate. According to the agenda of said committee, collected by Europa Press, the appearances will take place next Tuesday, April 28.

The Popular Group demands the presence of the Director of Economic Affairs of Moncloa so that he details the decisions adopted in the attempted merger between Indra and EM&E, understanding that de la Rocha played a relevant role in driving said decisions.

The focus is especially placed on the actions of the competent bodies regarding investments that correspond to him as co-chair of the Strategic Investment Committee, attached to the Presidency of the Government.

Regarding Gualda, the PP argues that it must report on the instructions transferred to the Indra directors appointed at the proposal of SEPI, which controls 27.99% of the capital, in relation to the dismissals and appointments made in the company's presidency.
