The left-wing presidential candidate for Colombia, Iván Cepeda, has indicated that he accepts the "first result" of the pre-count of the second round of the presidential elections held this Sunday, although he considers it for now a "non-official nor binding" figure. At the same time, he has announced that his "group of witnesses" will file challenges against 33,000 polling stations distributed throughout the country.

"We recognize the pre-count that has been carried out tonight as a figure that is still non-official nor binding," Cepeda stated at a press conference before his supporters, emphasizing that, although he assumes "its first result," he will not consider the "official result of the scrutiny" valid until "the final result occurs" and the "corresponding verifications" have been carried out.

Next, Cepeda detailed that his "group of witnesses, tens of thousands, lawyers and attorneys are proceeding to challenge 33,000 polling stations throughout the country" which will have to be reviewed "one by one for the scrutiny."
