The Israeli Army has reported this Tuesday the death of a presumed member of the Shiite formation Hezbollah during an attack carried out on the town of Manzala, located in southern Lebanon.

According to a statement disseminated on social media by a spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), in a first phase of the operation, they "identified a terrorist" who was "operating" in this municipality in the Nabatiyeh district "near the security zone" controlled by Israel.

The spokesperson stressed that "the terrorist's activity posed a threat to the forces. After identification, the IDF attacked and eliminated the terrorist to remove the threat. The IDF will continue to act to eliminate any threat to its forces and will not allow the terrorist organization Hezbollah to harm the citizens of the State of Israel." With these words, the Army justifies the offensive and reaffirms that it will continue to intervene against any risk that, in its opinion, comes from Hezbollah in this border strip.
