The ERC spokesperson for Labor in Congress, Jordi Salvador, has stressed that the party cannot become the "personal platform" of its spokesperson in Madrid, Gabriel Rufián, nor submit to his "ultimatums," issuing a serious warning: "Patience has a limit."
In a post on the social network X, Salvador reacted to a report detailing the conditions set by Rufián to repeat as ERC's lead candidate, among which are having a team of utmost trust and having room to maneuver to set the party's political line in Madrid.
Faced with this, the republican deputy has demanded "respect for his parliamentary group and for his party: 'In politics and in life there is a basic rule: respect. Respect for the group's team (elected officials and technicians) in Madrid, for the party and for the militants'," he maintains.
He insisted that "ERC is not a personal platform nor a space for ultimatums" and made it clear that he is willing to take his criticisms to public debate. "If necessary, some of us will speak in public and the nonsense will end. Patience has a limit," he concluded.
