The commission of the Congress of Deputies that investigates the management of the dana has experienced a confrontation this Monday that ended with the expulsion of the spokesperson for the PP, César Sánchez.

The president of the body, the socialist Carmen Martínez Ramírez, made the decision after issuing her up to three calls to order during a particularly tense intervention.

Head-on collision during the appearance

The incident occurred during the appearance of the head of climatology of AEMET in the Valencian Community, José Ángel Núñez Mora.

From the start of the question period, the tone has been progressively rising. Sánchez has accused the president of acting in a “discretionary and sectarian” manner, which triggered a direct confrontation in the middle of the session.

Martínez Ramírez has responded by reminding him of the regulations and warning of disciplinary consequences if he persisted in his attitude.

Three warnings and expulsion

After two previous warnings, the situation has worsened during the interrogation of the deponent, with constant interruptions and exchanges of reproaches with both the presidency and the technician himself.

The president has ended up ordering her expulsion considering that she had repeatedly disobeyed the commission's operating rules. In solidarity, the rest of the Popular Group deputies have also left the room.

The episode reflects the high level of confrontation surrounding the investigation into the management of the dana, a particularly sensitive matter due to its consequences and the political controversy it has generated. The commission, tasked with clarifying responsibilities, is progressing marked by a climate of tension that complicates the development of parliamentary work.
