The PSOE has called for June 27 in Madrid the celebration of a Federal Committee, the party's highest body between Congresses, with the aim of setting the calendar of candidacies for the regional and municipal elections scheduled for May 2027.

With this meeting, the socialists will formally begin the primary election process in each of their federations. This was indicated by the party spokesperson, Montse Mínguez, this Monday at a press conference at the Ferraz headquarters, after the meeting of the Federal Executive.

The meeting of the Federal Committee will take place once the regional elections in Extremadura last December, those in Aragon held in February, and those in Andalusia, which are being held this Sunday, May 17, considered the last electoral call before next spring, have been overcome.
