The Minister of Culture, Ernest Urtasun, has lashed out this Thursday at the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, whom he holds responsible for proposing "unworthy" initiatives in the workplace, for starring in an "infinite race" to seduce Vox voters, and for demonstrating that he is not "capable of governing" with his statements on absenteeism and medical leave.
Urtasun expressed himself this way after the presentation of the Ministerial Conference for Palestinian Culture, when he was asked about Feijóo's intention to combat the "cancer" of labor absenteeism which, according to his estimates, represents a cost of over 30 billion euros, with or without consensus with the unions.
The head of Culture has criticized that someone who intends to preside over the Government of Spain distrusts the doctors of the healthcare system and that the leaves they prescribe to the population are adequate, "because they are the ones with the training to do so."
In this context, Urtasun has described Feijóo's initiative as "unworthy," and has placed it within his "absolutely infinite" struggle to attract Vox voters, a strategy that, in his opinion, pushes him to propose measures that "infringe" upon the rights of Spanish citizens.
The minister concluded that Feijóo "is not very capable" of leading the country and announced that, when the general elections are held next year, Sumar will do "everything possible" to prevent the current opposition leader from reaching La Moncloa.
