The spokesperson for Agriculture of the PP in Les Corts, Luis Martínez, has emphasized "the firm commitment of the Consell to the Valencian agricultural sector through a large investment aimed at promoting the modernization of farms, improving the competitiveness of productions, and guaranteeing the future of one of the fundamental pillars of the economy of the Comunitat Valenciana".
According to Martínez, "The Consell is demonstrating with actions that it believes in our farmers, ranchers, and fishermen. In contrast to the abandonment that the sector suffered for years by the Botànic, today there is a clear strategy based on investment, support for the productive fabric, and the capacity to face present and future challenges".
The 'popular' deputy has specified that the current Consell has reserved 50 million euros for the modernization of agricultural farms, "a historic investment that will allow for improving efficiency, incorporating new technologies, and increasing the profitability of the Valencian countryside".
He has also added that another nine million euros are allocated to strengthen the competitiveness of the livestock sector, "favoring the modernization of farms and their adaptation to the new demands of the market".
Martínez has stressed that "We are talking about an agricultural policy that does not remain in announcements, but translates into real investments, direct support for the sector, and effective measures to guarantee its future. Agriculture is a strategic sector for the Comunitat Valenciana and this Consell is acting accordingly".
