The judge temporarily replacing Juan Carlos Peinado, who is on vacation, has authorized Begoña Gómez, wife of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, to travel to the United Kingdom to attend the graduation of one of her daughters, although he has rejected her request to travel to Turkey beforehand to accompany the head of the Executive at the NATO summit being held this week in Ankara.
With this resolution, the magistrate responds to the request made by Gómez's defense after Peinado agreed on June 20 to withdraw her passport as a precautionary measure, after ordering the opening of oral proceedings against her. Consult the court order here:
