Two people have died and four others have been seriously injured in a shooting that occurred during the night in El Ejido (Almería), according to information released by emergency services and investigation sources reported by public media.
Among the injured are two minors, according to the information known so far about this incident, which has led to a large deployment of police and health personnel.
The first calls were received around 11:15 PM and placed the incident in the area of El Canalillo, near Balanegra.
Investigation open
Guardia Civil personnel, including agents from specialized units, were dispatched to the scene, along with health services to attend to the victims. The investigation remains open, and no arrests related to the case have been officially reported at this time.
Sources close to the investigation, according to information released by RTVE, suggest that the alleged perpetrator of the shots may have fled. These same sources indicate, always according to this preliminary information, that the suspect may have a family relationship with all or some of the victims, a detail that will need to be confirmed by the official investigation.
