The Balearic Government has shown its support for the law that aims to restrict vehicle entry into Mallorca to be processed urgently in Parliament, although it has left the decision to extend the current session period to the different groups in the Chamber.
In the press conference following the Governing Council, the Executive's spokesperson, Antoni Costa, positively valued "any additional acceleration mechanism" to move forward with this regulation, which was approved last week by the Council of Mallorca.
It is worth remembering that the island institution registered the bill to regulate vehicle entry in Parliament last Monday, and both PP and PSIB requested that it be processed through the urgent procedure.
In parallel, the left-wing groups requested the habilitation of more parliamentary sessions with the aim of approving this law, a proposal that will be put to a vote next Tuesday. On this point, Costa has indicated that, for the moment, he does not know what the PP's vote will be.
