The acting Minister of Economy and Finance and spokesperson for the Junta de Castilla y León, Carlos Fernández Carriedo, has stated that an "approach" has been made with Vox and that there are "favorable feelings" to close a Government pact in the Community after the elections last March.
In the press conference after the Governing Council, Fernández Carriedo pointed out that the conversations between both parties are progressing in a positive direction, although he clarified that the definitive programmatic document remains open and has not yet been finalized by the designated negotiating teams.
"Both parties are negotiating --PP and Vox--, they are working, there is a will to reach agreements, to bring positions closer, but the agreement has not yet been reached, when it is reached, we will give all explanations, with all transparency, with all information, so that it is known by all citizens, I can tell you that the will is very positive, that the feelings are favorable," the minister stated.
Along the same lines, he insisted that "there is an interest in reaching an agreement, but the agreement has not yet been reached and, therefore, we will report on it when it is reached."
For Fernández Carriedo, the prospects for understanding are high: "I believe that there will be a pact because there is a will on the part of both parties that are in the meetings, there is an interest for us to think about the people of Castilla y León too, so that we focus on what unites us and not what separates us, from the knowledge that we are two different parties, but that there is a common interest," he concluded.
