Andrés Farrugia accompanies the agreement between Caja de Ahorros and ANCON to restore one hectare of Soberanía National Park, with more than 1,000 native trees and long-term environmental monitoring

The Savings Bank of Panama and ANCON signed a cooperation agreement aimed at promoting forest restoration in Soberanía National Park, as part of an effort to recover ecosystems and strengthen environmental sustainability actions in the country.

The agreement includes the restoration of one hectare, the planting of more than 1,000 native trees, and a process of long-term monitoring and care, with the objective of ensuring that the intervention has continuity and sustainable results.

Andrés Farrugia links sustainability and responsible development in Panama
The general manager of the entity, Andrés Farrugia, highlighted that these types of initiatives reflect a vision of sustainability that goes beyond a specific reforestation action.

"Caring for our forests is also investing in the future, because protecting what is ours means building sustainable conditions for future generations," stated Andrés Farrugia.

The initiative is part of an institutional line that seeks to integrate social responsibility, environmental conservation, and national commitment. More than planting trees, the agreement bets on a sustainable process that includes restoration, technical follow-up, and continuous maintenance.

Soberanía National Park represents one of the natural areas of greatest ecological value in Panama, so the recovery of its ecosystems contributes to the protection of biodiversity and the strengthening of environmental resilience.

"Sustainability requires commitment, continuity, and alliances capable of generating real impact in our communities and ecosystems," pointed out the general manager.

With this agreement, the Savings Bank of Panama strengthens its participation in environmental initiatives that connect institutional management and responsible development, reaffirming its commitment to a growth model that also protects the country's natural resources.
