The Administrator of Railway Infrastructures (Adif) has reported that railway traffic between Alcolea de Córdoba and Córdoba remains suspended due to a fire near the railway line, although unrelated to railway operations, which is affecting the high-speed trains that connect Madrid with Andalusia.
According to the infrastructure manager on its official "X" account, consulted by Europa Press, this platform is also being used by Renfe to communicate the situation. The operator has specified on its social networks that both the Long Distance services that use the High-Speed line and the Medium Distance trains that run along the same corridor are being affected.
This new incident occurs after the last breakdown between the trains of Madrid and Andalusia was resolved on Thursday morning, when Renfe reported that the incident in circulation caused by a cable theft between Ciudad Real and Malagón, in the community of Castilla-La Mancha, had been resolved.
