Blackstone has communicated the definitive closure of its fund "Blackstone Energy Transition Partners V," endowed with 8.7 billion dollars (7.753 billion euros), which represents a 50% increase compared to its previous investment vehicle.
According to the firm detailed in a note, the demand from investors exceeded "by far" the available supply, so the fund has reached the maximum cap planned for resource raising.
The vehicle began its investment phase last June and has already provided financing to three independent platform companies --Kindle, Fisterra, and Viridon-- with the goal of supporting management teams with a "proven track record in the development and operation of new electricity generation capacity and new electricity transmission lines."
During this period, the fund has also closed the purchase of Flow Control Holdings, Dresser Utility Solutions, and DarkVision.
As part of the Blackstone Energy Transition Partners strategy, since January 2025, more than 11 billion dollars (9.807 billion euros) have been committed to new capital investments, among which companies like Arlington Industries, Enverus, and Potomac Energy Center stand out.
