Eurostars Hotel Company will launch this Friday the Áurea Palacio de la Tinta hotel, located in the historic palace of the same name in Málaga, facing La Malagueta beach and in the heart of Paseo de Reding, as the company reported in a statement.
After a comprehensive renovation process, the chain has recovered this emblematic 10,500-square-meter building, erected in 1908, which will be integrated into the Áurea Hotels collection, the group's brand dedicated to signature hotels with a strong historical and architectural personality.
The name Palacio de la Tinta comes from its time as the headquarters of the railway administration, when large quantities of ink needed for the manual issuance of tickets were transferred daily.
In the intervention carried out by Eurostars, some of the most representative elements of the building have been preserved, including the original facade, the Patio de los Naranjos, and the imposing main staircase, presided over by a glass elevator.
The project has also reinforced the uniqueness of the fourth floor, where the restaurant, various common areas, and a large terrace designed for both guests and the people of Málaga will be located.
Among the services of the new establishment are a restaurant specializing in grilled cuisine and Málaga gastronomy made with local products -- the Contrapunto grill -- a spa with a thermal circuit and personalized treatments, as well as five meeting rooms totaling a surface area of 241.70 square meters.
In the words of the president of Grupo Hotusa, Amancio López, the hotel represents its commitment to hotel projects capable of "dialoguing with the history and heritage of each destination."
"Málaga is experiencing one of the most relevant cultural and tourist moments in its history, and this building perfectly symbolizes that combination of identity, art, and international projection that also defines the philosophy of Áurea Hotels," he added.
With this opening, the Áurea Palacio de la Tinta becomes the seventh hotel of Eurostars in the province of Málaga, where the company already manages the Eurostars Málaga, the Eurostars Astoria, the Dorma Málaga Museos, the Exe Estepona Thalasso & Spa, the premium Tandem Soho Suites apartments, and the Eurostars Ocean Marbella.
