The Transport and Logistics Fund of Everwood Capital has closed the purchase of Transportes Hijos de Marino Palomo, along with its subsidiary Frijaf, and Servicios Filiares Burgaleses (SFB), two companies dedicated to the transportation of goods by road, with a special focus on temperature-controlled services.

The operation, the amount of which has not been made public, incorporates into the investment vehicle a group of companies located in Torrijos (Toledo) and Burgos, which together reach an annual turnover of 25 million euros and manage a fleet of nearly 300 trucks. ABL & New York Associates has acted as the exclusive financial and legal advisor to the sellers in this transaction.

Transportes Hijos de Marino Palomo, with more than 70 years of experience, offers goods transportation services, cold solutions, and storage, with routes both national and European, a fleet of over 100 trucks, and 3,000 square meters of storage facilities. Frijaf was born to expand and complement this specialized transportation offer.

SFB focuses its activity on general cargo and refrigerated transport, also with national and European routes, and operates from Burgos with a fleet of more than 100 trucks equipped with real-time tracking and management systems.

With this acquisition, Everwood Capital gives a new boost to its presence in the transport and logistics sector, where its fund is oriented towards companies in Spain and Portugal with growth potential, professionalization, and digitalization in areas such as airport logistics, port supply chain, cold chain, last mile, and logistics technology.

Among its most recent moves is the purchase of Tudefrigo, which, along with Transportes Cruz and Transmolbo, has formed a group with nearly 160 million euros in turnover, more than 1,000 professionals, and a fleet of over 1,400 vehicles.

Everwood Capital is a fund management company supervised by the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), and declares more than 900 million euros under management and more than 60 transactions completed.
