The president of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, and the mayor of Valdepeñas, Jesús Martín, accompanied by the president of Oesía, Lluís Furnells, participated this Thursday in the groundbreaking ceremony for the modernization of the Oesía-Tecnobit Technology Center in Valdepeñas.

The initiative contemplates an expansion of the current complex by 62%, incorporating an additional 5,000 square meters to the already existing surface, reaching 13,000 square meters. This action is part of the company's strategic plan, which foresees raising the workforce to 1,000 employees in the coming years.

The head of Oesía, Lluís Furnells, explained that the company's current strategic plan will extend until 2030, including the expansion of the Valdepeñas facilities as one of its main axes.

Furnells underlined that the multinational, "which also generates a value chain with local companies," is present today in 42 countries, where it offers cutting-edge technology and innovation solutions. From the institutional sphere, García-Page affirmed that "Castilla-La Mancha and Valdepeñas work," and expressed his satisfaction that this industrial group will reach 1,000 jobs in the coming years.

The regional president also made a gesture towards the Oesía executive, of Catalan origin, by remarking that "in Spain there is no type of hatred, nor rejection, nor ill will towards Catalonia." "For Spain to do well, Catalonia needs to recover the vanguard, the drive, the strength, the capacity to innovate that it has always had," he pointed out.

For his part, the mayor of Valdepeñas has championed the city and its productive fabric, highlighting a 12% population increase in the last five years and the fact that it is cataloged as one of the ten safest cities in Spain. Likewise, he has focused on the external projection of the municipality. "With the economic data, of the 9,000 million that the province of Ciudad Real has generated in foreign markets, 1,300 have come from this city, 14%, being the city that has generated the most production capital," Martín emphasized.
