The spokesperson of the PSOE in Congress, Patxi López, has pointed out that the second vice president and minister of Labor, Yolanda Díaz, is a "magnificent" candidate to lead the International Labour Organization (ILO).

This Thursday, the Government has officially communicated its proposal for the second vice president to run in the election process for the general direction of the International Labour Organization (ILO). The president of the Executive, Pedro Sánchez, has emphasized that it is an "honor" to make this candidacy public.

In this context, the socialist leader has explained in the corridors of the Lower House that he thinks it is "good news" that Díaz is opting for that position, since, in his opinion, she has made it clear that she is a person "who is at the forefront of defending the rights of workers."

"She is someone who cares that the jobs created are quality jobs, that they are jobs with rights and therefore I think she is a magnificent candidate to lead the International Labour Organization," concluded the PSOE spokesperson.
