The shipping group Suardiaz Group, through its Suardiaz Energy division, has incorporated the RS Onza vessel into its fleet, a recently acquired IMO2 chemical tanker with capacity for methanol transport, which is already operating for the energy company Moeve.
The vessel, delivered a short time ago in Singapore, will provide service in European ports, with a special presence in Spain, within the framework of the joint strategy of both companies to develop logistics solutions linked to new fuels.
The CEO of Suardiaz Group, Juan Riva, has highlighted that the agreement with Moeve consolidates the historical relationship between the two companies and demonstrates the energy sector's confidence in the shipping group. As he has emphasized, Suardiaz's extensive experience in the maritime field and in "bunkering" (fuel supply to ships) allows them to continue advancing in more innovative and sustainable solutions.
For his part, the director of Suardiaz Energy, Fernando Barreras, has indicated that the RS Onza has the most advanced technology for the transport and supply of new fuels, thus reinforcing the division's value proposition in this segment.
Moeve, through its director of Marine Solutions & Trading, Samir Fernandez, has explained that the vessel's entry into service increases its capacity to deploy logistics solutions adapted to new fuels and represents a new step forward in its roadmap to decarbonize maritime transport.
Suardiaz Energy develops two complementary business lines: the Offshore area, focused on the operation of "offshore" vessels, and the Tankers area, intended for oil tankers, chemical tankers, and "bunker barges," with operational units in Barcelona and Ceuta.
In addition, the company is promoting various ongoing projects, including new units under construction with a horizon of 2027 and the design of a liquefied natural gas "bunker," with which it is committed to larger capacity and flexibility vessels for the transport of petroleum products, chemicals, and new fuels.
