The Ibex 35 index of the Madrid Stock Exchange began this Tuesday's session with an advance of 0.09%, which allowed the Madrid selective to recover the threshold of 19,400 points again and reach 19,404.1 points, on a day conditioned by the cheaper oil after some stabilization of the conflict in the Middle East.
In the commodity markets, the Brent barrel registered a decrease of 1.4%, to 72.1 dollars, while the WTI, a benchmark in the US, stood at around 70 dollars after falling 1.1%.
On the Spanish corporate front, OHLA will submit for a vote at its Ordinary General Shareholders' Meeting, convened for this Tuesday on second call, the reduction of the number of directors to nine and the re-election of EY as auditor of accounts, among other items on the agenda.
At the same time, Indra is holding today the first shareholders' meeting of the new era led by CEO Josep Maria Recasens and President Ángel Simón, at which, among other matters, it will be proposed to set the number of members of the board of directors at 14 and approve the distribution of a dividend of 0.30 euros per share.
On the other hand, the supermarket chain Dia has announced that it will launch a share buyback program starting this Tuesday for a maximum amount of 20 million euros, with the aim of having sufficient shares in treasury stock to meet the shares planned in employee incentive plans and in the remuneration schemes for non-controlling external directors.
In the international arena, Amazon has indicated that it achieved a pre-tax profit in Spain of more than 290 million euros in 2025 and registered total gross revenues from its activities in the country of 9,000 million, an increase of 12.5% compared to 8,000 million euros a year earlier.
Likewise, the State Industrial Holdings Company (SEPI) has announced that it returned to profits in 2025 with a positive net result of 130 million and a record turnover of 7,384 million, 16.2% higher than in 2024.
In the dividends chapter, Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF) has pointed out that it will pay on July 7 a gross dividend of 1.521 euros per share against the results of 2025, while Grenergy has communicated that it has signed a Nighttime Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) of one terawatt/hour (TWH) annually for 15 years in Chile.
On the 'macro' front, the Information Center of Notarial Statistics (CIEN) has indicated that home sales fell by 10.2% year-on-year in April, to 57,755 transactions, while the average price per square meter increased by 9.4%, to 2,046 euros.
In the early stages of Tuesday's session, Amadeus was among the biggest decliners in the selective, with a drop of 1.1%, only behind Enagás, which fell 2.8% due to the 'ex-coupon' effect associated with dividend payments.
On the opposite side of the Ibex 35, the most notable gains at the start of the day corresponded to Arcelormittal (+2.1%), Solaria (+1.5%), and Acciona (+1.4%).
The main European stock exchanges also began the day with advances. London's Ftse100 was up 0.1% and Paris's CAC 40 added 0.3%, while Frankfurt's Dax gained 0.7%.
In the debt market, the yield on the Spanish 10-year bond eased to 3.332%.
Regarding currencies, the euro ceded ground against the dollar, trading in the markets at an exchange rate of 1.1403 dollars.
