The Popular Party would once again clearly win in the province of Córdoba in the Andalusian elections scheduled for next May 17, according to the pre-election study published this Friday by the Center for Sociological Research (CIS).

The poll places the PP as the leading force with 36.2% of the votes and a range of between five and six parliamentarians, consolidating a 14-point lead over the PSOE.

The PSOE resists

The socialists would obtain 22.2% of the votes and between three and four seats, maintaining a representation similar to the current one, although without the capacity to reduce the distance with the popular ones in one of the key provinces of the Andalusian map.

Vox, third force, very close to Por Andalucía

Vox would appear as the third political force in Córdoba with 9.1% of the votes and between one and two parliamentarians. Very close would be Por Andalucía, which would achieve 9.2% of support and secure one seat in the Andalusian Parliament.

For its part, Adelante Andalucía would reach 7% of voting intention and could get between zero and one deputy, depending on the final distribution of seats.

Further away would be other candidacies such as Se Acabó La Fiesta (SALF), with 1.2% of the estimated votes, while the rest of the parties would barely add up to 1% of the electoral support.

The CIS study also reflects a reduced percentage of abstention, standing at 1.1%, in addition to 10.4% undecided and 1.3% of respondents who prefer not to reveal their political option.

Seat distribution

  • PP: between 5 and 6 seats.
  • PSOE: between 3 and 4 seats.
  • Vox: between 1 and 2 seats.
  • Por Andalucía: 1 seat.
  • Adelante Andalucía: between 0 and 1 seat.

Currently, the Cordoban representation in the Andalusian Parliament is composed of seven deputies from the PP, three from the PSOE, one from Vox, and one from Por Andalucía.
