The Popular Party would once again win in the province of Huelva in the Andalusian elections on May 17, according to the pre-election study published by the Center for Sociological Research (CIS). The survey places the PP as the leading force with 41.1% of the votes and an estimate of between five and six parliamentarians, which would allow it to maintain its leadership in the province.

The PSOE, second force

The PSOE would remain as the second political force with 30.3% of the votes and a range of between three and four seats. The difference between the Popular Party and the Socialists would be 10.8 points, consolidating the PP's advantage in one of the territories where the seat distribution remains open.

Vox remains the third force

Vox would remain the third force and could expand its institutional representation. The CIS attributes 13.3% of the estimated vote to it, with options to obtain between one and two parliamentarians, which would open the door to doubling its current presence in the Andalusian Parliament.

Adelante Andalucía could achieve a seat

For its part, Adelante Andalucía would reach 6.6% of voting intention and would have possibilities of achieving a seat, while Por Andalucía would obtain 6.1%, although it would be left out of the parliamentary distribution.

The poll also reflects a scenario that is still open regarding the final distribution of representatives. Both PP and PSOE could maintain the seats achieved in 2022 or lose one, depending on the electoral behavior in the final stretch of the campaign.

Estimated seat distribution in Huelva

  • PP: between 5 and 6 seats.
  • PSOE: between 3 and 4 seats.
  • VOX: between 1 and 2 seats.
  • Adelante Andalucía: between 0 and 1 seat.
  • Por Andalucía: no representation.

The province of Huelva elects a total of eleven deputies to the Andalusian Parliament. In the current legislature, the distribution is six seats for the PP, four for the PSOE, and one for VOX.
