The General Budgets of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura for 2026 have been definitively validated this Wednesday thanks to the support of PP and Vox, partners in the regional Executive, against the rejection of PSOE and Unidas por Extremadura.

The regional accounts for 2026 have been ratified without incorporating any of the partial amendments registered by the opposition groups, all of which were rejected by the majority of PP and Vox during the session held in the Assembly.

Over nearly twelve hours of session, the 622 partial amendments that PSOE and Unidas por Extremadura had kept alive until the final debate were addressed in blocks, with none of them managing to move forward.

Thus, after the rejection of all the opposition's modification proposals, the Budget of Extremadura for 2026 is approved in the same terms in which it was designed by the regional Government, incorporating only 36 partial amendments from PP and Vox, already validated previously in the Finance and Budgets Commission.

The General Budgets of Extremadura for 2026 amount to 8.854 billion euros, which represents an increase of 9.3 percent compared to the previous year, that is, an additional 755.6 million euros.

After the final vote, the deputies of PP and Vox celebrated the result with prolonged applause and hugs in the Hemicycle of the Assembly, while the parliamentarians of PSOE and Unidas por Extremadura remained seated in their seats.
