Quadrante announced this Monday the entry of Permira as a strategic investor, an operation with which it foresees "boosting its growth plan in Spain", reinforcing its international presence —with special focus on the United States— and deepening the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to provide "more innovative and efficient" solutions.

The company considers this transaction "a new milestone" within its roadmap for growth and international projection. The agreement is pending the usual regulatory authorizations and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026. For the moment, Quadrante has not made public the economic details of the operation, as stated in a press release.

This investment is framed as Permira's second operation within its strategy linked to the energy transition and represents a boost to Quadrante's "ambition" to consolidate itself as a global engineering partner, with an international presence and a clear positioning in energy transition and critical infrastructure.

The specialized engineering firm also emphasizes that the founders, the management team, and Henko Partners will retain "significant" stakes in the capital, remaining as reference shareholders after Permira's entry.

"Our alliance with Permira marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter," says the global CEO and co-founder of Quadrante, Nuno Costa, who describes the international private equity firm as "the ideal partner" for the company, thanks to its investment focus on energy transition, its global network, its digital capabilities, and its track record of supporting "high" growth companies.

The executive adds that the founding team and senior management "will ensure the continuity" of the project, both in vision and corporate culture, and is confident that Permira will accompany this new phase of expansion by leveraging its experience and the "transformative" potential of artificial intelligence to offer an "even smarter, more integrated, and higher quality" service to clients, while "opening new opportunities" "around the world".

"We see a very relevant opportunity to drive the company's international expansion, especially in the United States, where the demand for engineering capabilities in energy, renewables, data centers, and infrastructure continues to grow," highlights the partner and co-head of Energy Transition at Permira, Kush Patel, who declares himself willing to work with Costa and his team "in this new stage of international growth."

In the chapter of advisors, Permira has counted on Mizuho | Greenhill as financial advisor, Clifford Chance as legal advisor, Roland Berger as head of 'commercial due diligence', and KPMG as advisor for 'structuring, financial and tax due diligence'. For their part, Quadrante, its senior management, and Henko Partners have been advised by Houlihan Lokey, KPMG, and Jamieson in the financial field, by Cuatrecasas and PLMJ as legal firms, and by BCG as commercial advisor.
