The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has announced the achievement of an agreement with Iran that involves the immediate withdrawal of the blockade imposed by U.S. forces in the Strait of Hormuz.

"The Agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now finalized. Congratulations to all!", Trump stated in a message disseminated on social media.

In that same communication, the leader specified: "I hereby authorize the total toll-free opening of the Strait of Hormuz and, simultaneously, I hereby authorize the immediate lifting of the United States naval blockade," in reference to the perimeter closure of Hormuz decreed by the U.S. Navy in response to the closure of the passage decided by Iran.

Trump has also called on the "ships of the world" to "start engines." "Let the oil flow!", emphasized the president, who has not yet offered additional information about the content of the pact.

The first leader to announce the existence of the agreement was the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, who presented it as a Peace Agreement. "Both sides have declared the immediate and permanent end of military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon," Sharif detailed in a message published on social media.

Sharif specified that the formal signing ceremony of the agreement is scheduled for Friday, June 19, in Switzerland, an occasion he took to express his recognition to both the United States and Iran "for their commitment to achieving a diplomatic solution to the conflict."

"We also want to value our brothers in mediation," Sharif added, referring to Qatar "for its support in achieving this agreement," Saudi Arabia for its "visionary leadership," and Turkey "for its immense contributions."

According to the Pakistani prime minister, the mediators will now organize a series of meetings that will take place throughout this week. "These pre-implementation contacts will lay the groundwork for technical talks and the official signing ceremony," he indicated.
