At least five people have lost their lives this Sunday, including an eleven-month-old baby, due to a fire that broke out in a house located in the city of Caloocan, within the metropolitan area of Manila, the capital of the Philippines, according to local authorities.
The Caloocan fire department has indicated that the fire was reported around 1:01 AM (local time) in a two-story residential building located on Sinilyasi Street. In just five minutes, the flames would have spread rapidly to the first floor, finally being extinguished approximately one hour later.
Along with the five dead, the incident has affected a total of 15 people, including six families who resided in the building.
Emergency services and authorities have already been deployed in the area to assist those affected and secure the area, although the origin of the fire has not yet been clarified.
