The Pakistan Army communicated this Wednesday that 32 alleged terrorists have died in several military operations carried out in the border area with Afghanistan, directed against members of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the separatist group Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).

"Comprehensive joint operations are being carried out in different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan to eliminate terrorists and their facilitators. In the last 24 hours, security forces have successfully eliminated 32 terrorists from these Indian proxies," the communication body of the Pakistani Armed Forces, ISPR, has reported.

According to the statement, during the early hours of the past night, Pakistani forces carried out an operation "against different terrorist locations," in which 24 "terrorists belonging to Fitna al Jwarij" were killed, a designation that Islamabad habitually refers to the Pakistani Taliban, the TTP.

In separate actions, security forces were involved in "intense clashes" in the Nushki district, in the province of Balochistan, where eight "terrorists belonging to Fitna al Hindustan were sent to hell," ISPR has pointed out, referring to the BLA.

The Army has added that during these operations, various weapons, ammunition, and improvised explosive devices have been located and destroyed that, according to the authorities, were used by these armed groups.

"The relentless counter-terrorism campaign will continue at full pace to eradicate the threat of terrorism sponsored and supported by foreigners in the country," ISPR has emphasized, again pointing to the support that, according to Islamabad, these militias would receive from India.
