The outgoing president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, has once again affirmed this Monday the existence, in his opinion, of "electoral fraud" in the last presidential elections, whose second round took place on June 21, underlining again that the true winner "by popular vote" would have been the officialist candidate Iván Cepeda and not the far-right Abelardo de la Espriella.

"The current president of Colombia is faced with evidence of electoral fraud through algorithmic means and with foreign financing prohibited by our constitution," stated the still occupant of the Casa de Nariño in a message disseminated on social networks, written in the third person and in which he adds that "the one who won the elections by popular vote was Iván Cepeda."

Attributing the triumph of the far-right Abelardo de la Espriella to "algorithms from California" developed by "private intelligence companies from Israel," Petro has announced that the judicial authorities of Colombia and the United States "will have all the evidence" because, according to his version, "the crimes were committed in the territory of the United States."

"Of course, my statements are serious, but not irresponsible. They are completely proven," he remarked, defending that "only fraud brings corrupt people to be presidents" and that "Mr. Abelardo will only be president due to the fraud committed in the United States with Israeli companies."

In this regard, the outgoing president has opined that De la Espriella "sold national sovereignty in exchange for a spurious presidency," while reiterating that he does not recognize "the legitimacy of the incoming Government" because, he maintains, "Abelardo did not win the elections."

"The registry office, clumsily or corruptly, has handed over the security of the vote of the people of Colombia to companies whose governments that control them according to their national legislation already had a candidate in Colombia, which is why there was no alarm," he argued, criticizing the role of the electoral authority.

In this context, Petro has assured that he has "all the information" about "from which IP server located in Los Angeles" the algorithms that "varied the vote substantially in favor" of De la Espriella would have been executed. "The algorithms that tainted the electoral result were used with the electoral census of those who never vote to be replaced by voters who could do so several times or without voters in homogeneous jury tables," he reiterated, describing the alleged fraud mechanism.

Although at the end of June the outgoing head of state stated that his Executive was prepared to initiate an "orderly and transparent" transition and "not be an obstacle" for the newly elected Abelardo de la Espriella, Petro has maintained his suspicions about the election results since then, which will culminate in the investiture of the new Colombian president on August 7.
