The Justice of Bolivia has imposed preventive detention on three people arrested in the framework of an investigation for the supposed recruitment of Bolivian citizens for their transfer to Russia, where, according to the investigations, they would be sent to the front in Ukraine.
The three investigated face charges of human trafficking and will remain in preventive prison while judicial proceedings are underway.
The Prosecutor's Office supported the precautionary measure considering that there are procedural risks of possible flight and interference in the course of the investigation.
The suspects were arrested last Thursday in Santa Cruz during an operation against a network that would be dedicated to recruiting Bolivians to send them to Russia, in which more than 50 passports were seized. The three are relatives of Amador, identified as the main suspect and alleged leader of the organization, who remains at large.
