The president of the Principality of Asturias, Adrián Barbón, has reiterated that the Indra company's project in the parish of Barros, in the council of Langreo, is fully guaranteed and has denied that there is any plan to move that activity to Galicia. "Before losing the Barros factory, we will act with all the instruments that the law gives us to defend that operation," he stressed.

"Nothing is being taken to Galicia. What goes to Barros, goes to Barros," emphasized the head of the Asturian Executive, who explained that the company's roadmap includes a distribution of investments across different areas of Spain with the aim of consolidating itself as the "great defense industry." In this regard, he stressed that what is planned for Asturias will remain in the community and reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding the operation in Barros.

In statements to the media in the council of Bimenes, Barbón asked the population for calm and pointed out that part of the public concern is due to a lack of information about Indra's business strategy. He indicated that the company has promoted differentiated projects in Galicia, León, and other territories since the beginning, with the aim of extending its presence "across many autonomous communities." "I know the strategic plan it had, because I know it. It wanted to develop activity in many provinces, many autonomous communities," he insisted.
