Associations of Guardia Civil and unions of Policía Nacional have held this Thursday a meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of the Interior with the Secretary of State for Security to learn firsthand the status of the work aimed at launching the new early retirement model linked to the recognition of their work as a high-risk profession.
From the department led by Interior, all the "information" related to the "technical and economic work" necessary to apply the "reducing coefficients" for retirement has been provided. At the meeting, aspects linked to "possible financing" and "with the necessary requirements for its future application" were also addressed, according to the statement sent by the twelve attending organizations, including Jupol, SUP, AUGC, and Jucil.
The organizations present have insisted before Interior on the "necessity" that the "necessary regulatory changes" for the "recognition of the profession of Policía Nacional and Guardia Civil as a high-risk activity" be articulated "in a single text" that integrates "passive classes and general social security regime" with the objective of not leaving "any colleague" out of the system.
Likewise, they have demanded that this "Technical Table" translate into "real and effective measures" that allow access to early retirement under "the same conditions" as "other police forces, regardless of the contribution system to which they belong."
