The Junts deputy in Congress, Josep Maria Cruset, has maintained that the PSOE is "panicked" about a call for general elections and has pointed out that the PP avoids promoting a motion of no confidence against the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, because, in his opinion, it prefers the political scenario to deteriorate even further.

In an interview on La2Cat and Ràdio 4, reported by Europa Press, Cruset has asked: "Why are the two who have the capacity to get out of this exceptional and serious situation not doing so?".

The Junts leader has demanded that Sánchez appear in Congress to give explanations about the judicial proceedings affecting him, considering it to be "an absolutely exceptional scenario" and of enormous institutional gravity.

Likewise, he has demanded clarifications from the President of the Generalitat, Salvador Illa, in relation to the PSC's campaign for the 2024 Catalan elections, after the National Court, which is investigating the 'Leire Díez case', has asked the Central Operational Unit (UCO) to request various documentation from the PSOE about said campaign.

In this context, Cruset has criticized the attitude of some political leaders and has stated: "Some play at showing that the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing."
