The Plenary Session of Congress resumes activity starting at 3:00 PM with the consideration of an initiative by ERC. The independentists bring to the Plenary an initiative for the constitution of an investment consortium between the General State Administration and the Generalitat of Catalonia.
Next, the taking into consideration of the bill to amend the Civil Code, for the protection of supervised minors in situations of abandonment will be debated. The initiative from the VOX Group proposes, among other issues, to reform the child protection system so that decisions of abandonment, guardianship, foster care, or adoption depend on a judge and not solely on the public administration.
Then comes the main event of the day: the validation or repeal of the royal rent decree-law –automatic renewal and 2% cap on price increases. The opposition from Junts has condemned it to repeal.
The session will continue with the non-binding proposals (PNL):
- From VOX, relating to the "collapse of the National Health System caused by the Government"
- From PP relating to State delays in infrastructure and water actions in Andalusia
Following the order of the day, next will be the turn of the motions: on the impact of the crisis generated by the war in Iran on the Canary Islands; on the economic policy of this Government and how it impacts Spanish families; and on what the Executive's priorities will be regarding the conservation of infrastructure for the remainder of the legislature
