The spokesperson for Más Madrid in Congress, Tesh Sidi, has confirmed that her party has asked the Executive to eliminate the vulnerability criterion from the regularization process. "It is suffocating local administrations to which the need to issue that certificate was not communicated with prior notice," she assured at a press conference from Congress.

In the opinion of the deputy, "an irregular person in our country is vulnerable" without the need for any other justification. The proposal from Más Madrid involves a new reform of the Foreigners Regulation after an experience that is highlighting the lack of effectiveness of the current model.

Sidi has also urged the Executive to extend the regularization period beyond June 30: "We cannot stop there."

STATELESS

Along with the elimination of the vulnerability criterion and the extension of the time period, Tesh Sidi is fighting another battle regarding the regularization process: the situation of stateless people.

In an interview with Demócrata, the Sumar deputy explains that she learned about the "fine print" of the regulation in February and could not believe it: "Sahrawi stateless people have been left out due to a political decision by the PSOE. It is not a coincidence. It is not a coincidence."
