The minister for Digital Transformation and Public Function, Óscar López, has lashed out this Saturday against the leader of the People's Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, following Juanma Moreno Bonilla's agreement with Vox to be invested president of the Junta de Andalucía. López has held him responsible for going down in history as "the great whitewasher" of the far-right in Spain.

From Almagro (Ciudad Real), where he attended the International Classical Theatre Festival, the minister analyzed Moreno Bonilla's investiture in Andalusia, emphasizing the relevance of the understanding between PP and Vox.

"Four communities, four pacts with Vox. This is what is happening," said López, who has criticized the Popular Party for depending on the far-right to maintain their regional governments.

The head of Digital Transformation has insisted that Feijóo "will go down in history for being the great whitewasher of Vox" and has pointed out that today's PP, in his opinion, has ceased to be a center-right party comparable to conservative parties in the rest of Europe.

"Feijóo's PP is Vox's PP," he stated, emphasizing that all regional agreements with the far-right have been closed with Feijóo at the head of the People's Party.

In his opinion, the PP has decided to "copy the insults, policies, and hate speech of Vox," to the point that he considers it "impossible to differentiate today's PP from Vox" in both tone and the proposals they defend.

In this regard, he has accused the Popular Party of adopting "all the far-right frameworks," mentioning campaigns against immigration, against abortion, against women, against regularization, and against the Spanish electoral system itself.

López has claimed that Spain has "one of the best electoral systems in the world" and has censured that the PP contributes to discrediting it with messages that, as he has emphasized, were previously only used by the far-right.

"Mr. Feijóo will go down in history for two things: first, for not being president because he didn't want to be; and second, for having been the one who whitewashed the far-right in this country," the minister concluded.
