The president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, boasted this Thursday, on the occasion of the third anniversary of the 23J elections, that Spain leads "the economic growth of Europe" and that during this period "1.6 million new jobs have been created."
"Three years ago, the Spaniards decided with their vote to continue advancing in a progress agenda," recalled the leader of the PSOE in a message disseminated on the social network 'X'. In that same text, he emphasized that since then "the real income of households has grown 6% above inflation" and that the average pension has increased "with an additional 2,470 euros per year."
Furthermore, the head of the Executive highlighted that the Government has managed "to have electricity three times cheaper than Italy and half that of Germany" and "to extend maternity and paternity leave by three more weeks."
In the same vein, Sánchez celebrated that in these three years "235,000 new public education places for 0-3 years and Vocational Training" have been launched in Spain and that the country has consolidated itself as "a global benchmark of tolerance, peace, and moral coherence."
"There is still much work ahead. But we have the objectives and principles very clear," affirmed the president, who concluded his message with the statement: "We are the Government of the people. The Government of progress. The Government of Spain."
In the general elections of July 23, 2023, the PP was the most voted force, but Pedro Sánchez ultimately achieved the investiture as president of the Government by gathering the necessary support in Congress, which allowed him to form a coalition Executive with Sumar.
